The Springs Resort and Spa Costa Rica Overview

This beautiful hotel was host to ABC’s the Bachelor in Costa Rica on February 7, 2011 due to it’s beauty and romantic atmosphere. The episode was filmed in the 5 star hotels hot springs with the lush rainforest and thermal pools as a backdrop.
The Springs Resort and Spa Costa Rica hotel opened in 2008, and since then has become renowned as being Costa Rica’s leading luxury resort and spa. In 2011, TripAvisor named the hotels the #1 Relaxation and Spa hotel in all of Central and South America. It has won several TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice awards.

The club is located about 1.5 kilometers away from the resort. One great attraction is called Calcium Canyon, which is a circular hike around beautiful thermal calcium formations on the river. You can also swim in the thermal waters of the Arenal River, where is naturally heated water bubbles through the sandy river bed.

Las Ventanas (The Windows)
Speaking of dining with a view – how about dining with a 1,000 foot high view of the lush rainforest? At Las Ventanas, the windows are angled such that you can view the river which is 1,000 feet below. The menu includes a wide variety of international fusion including beef, pork, seafood and hand made pasta dishes.
Tres Cascadas is the house restaurant which is open for breakast, lunch and dinner. There is also room service from 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM. The menu is diverse and caters to all palettes. There is also a buffet which includes a good variety of salads, deserts and pasta dishes. You can also find hiqh quality steaks, seafood and latina cuisne.
If you are a sushi fan, you cannot go wrong with Ginger Sushi. There is an elegant sushi bar. The fish arrives fresh daily and includes local sea bass, snapper, yellow fin tuna, mahi mahi. Here you can enjoy a light and healthy menu and also play a game of chess, backgammon or checkers.
Tree Tops Grill
The Tree Tops Grills is another restaurant with a view option where you can view the lush rainforest canopy while dining. This is an informal restaurant with great food and tropical music which is surrounded by all five pools.
If you feel like a cocktail, you have five different bars to choose from including Heliconia Bar, La Laguna Bar, El Ranchito Bar and Los Perdidos Bar.
All guest rooms have a private jacuzzis, air conditioning, rocking chairs, hammocks, mini bars, refrigerators, coffee makers and wireless internet. In addition, all rooms have special volcanic, rainforest or river views.
The Alta Vista – features one king sized bed and can sleep 4 people.
The Family Suite – is a two-level suite that one king and two single beds or two king-sized beds. This accommodates five people.
The 3 Bedroom Springs Suite – has two single beds and two king size beds and it accommodates six people.
The 2 Bedroom Junior Spring Suite – this suite has two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with two single beds. This accommodates five people.
The 2 Bedroom Oropendula Suite – this suite has either 1 king and 2 single beds or 2 king sized beds. This accommodates four people.
The 2 Bedroom Springs Suite – this suite has 1 king size bed and 2 single beds. This accommodates sleep four people.
Villa Caletea – this is a fully equipped villa with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This accommodates five people.
Villa Guayaba – this is a fully equipped villa with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This accommodates five people.
Vista – this is the smallest room and has one king size bed. This accommodates three people.
